Grove win league
Congratulations to the 1st team who won the Scottish 1st division last week, beating Glasgow Western 3-0 to take the title on goal difference. It was a must win game in Stirling last wednesday and Louise Carroll opened the scoring from a penalty corner. Ali Bell also scored from open play and then Louise wrapped up the game with a second goal from a well worked penalty corner.
This marks the 6th league title in seven years for Grove - a huge well done to all the girls and coach Charlotte!

Another win for the 2nd team
The second team put in another good performance on sunday, recording a 3-1 win over Watsonians. The game was 0-0 at half time with goalkeeper Fiona Allison called into action on a number of occasions. Debbie McLeod and Carrie Clement also made some great tackles at the back. It was Watsonians who scored the first goal of the game early in the second half. But Grove stuck to their game plan and pulled one back after some great build up play. A further two goals were scored to seel the 3-1 victory as Grove started to dominant the game. Susan Nicol did well to finish the game following a ball to the face and credit goes to forwards Susan Graham, Lizzie Bush and Stacy Bookless who worked well together in the second half to create a number of chances.
Cup Semi Draw Announced
It has been announced the Grove will face Milne Craig Orange Sox in the semi finals of the Arthur McKay Scottish Cup which is to be held at Peffermill on saturday 8th May.
Milne Craig Western will take on Dundee Wanderers in the other semi final. The final will be the following weekend, so will it be a Dundee derby or will it be a repeat of last years final.
The New Busy think 9 to 5 is a cute idea. Combine multiple calendars with Hotmail. Get busy.

Seconds Hit 7
Well done to the 2nd team who have just recorded another victory. Playing against Grange Edinburgh Ladies in the beautiful sunshine at DISC the 2nds took control of the game from the outset. Linsey Glass hit the target 4 times, Susan Graham, Lizi Bush and Jenn Wright all contributing to the final scote. There was some great flowing hockey played and more goals could have been scored. Fiona Allison was called upon on a few occasion but delt with every shot. Susan Nicol made a great goal line save at a defending corner.
Many congrats to the players and more of the same tomorrow please.
